Article 1 – Who I am

My name is Gunter G. Gillot Jr (G. for George) nickname Doc Snafu. I am a Belgian citizen born accidentally on May 4, 1955, in Aachen, Germany, while my mother was on her way back to Belgium. I am the owner and the maker of the European Center of Military History website located at So to be clear my site doesn’t get any financial support from governmental organizations, artistic organizations, or memorials organizations. The European Center of Military History is created, updated, improved and paid for using my own money. The only way I could get a small financial help is through the member’s donation, but this is more a dream than anything else because, since the start of the site in 2004 and today, donations didn’t even pass the amount of $ 2000.

To make sure you know exactly who you are dealing with as well as to allow you to identify me, you’ll find bellow my credentials.
